Director Megan Hans
Megan has 20 years of experience in the
field of Early Childhood. She holds a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Child
Development and a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Psychology and has earned
her State of North Carolina Administration
Credential Level III. She is dedicated to providing nurturing and caring environments for young children as they develop a passion for learning.
Assistant Director Shannon Ford
Shannon has been a part of the TBOP team since 2001. She has three children, all of whom attended the preschool. She attended ECU and has the Early Childhood Credential Certificate. In addition to being the first point of contact for families, Shannon is a wonderful resource for parents and staff, ensuring that the operational elements of the preschool run smoothly for everyone.
Music Teacher Lexi Hallman
Lexi is director of Jewish Music for Temple Beth Or congregation Each week she teaches Hebrew words and songs on Fridays at a school wide Shabbat service in our Temple. Lexi has been teaching music since 2005.
Music Teacher Diane Winger
Diane, of Musicare, is a contemporary folk musician with a
background in pediatric nursing and music therapy. Musicare
is a special program designed for children 18 months to 6
years of age. Two Musicare classes a month are held for
each class. Diane has been teaching music since 1999.
Yoga/Movement Teacher Marsha Thomas
Marsha is a yoga instructor and mom of three who has experience
teaching yoga and movement to all ages. She conducts classes at
TBOP for each age group twice a month throughout the school year.
Senior Rabbi Lucy Dinner
Rabbi Dinner has served Temple Beth Or since 1993 and has two sons
who have attended both preschool and religious school here at TBO
and two grandchildren who currently attend preschool!
Rabbi Leah Citrin
Rabbi Citrin joined our community in 2015 and serves as both Assistant Rabbi and Jewish Educator, overseeing the curricular development of our religious school and adult education programs.
Each Friday our students join Music Director Lexi Hallman and one of our Rabbis for an exciting Shabbat service. This is a special time of the week the entire school comes together for exciting stories, fun songs and, of course, delicious challah. Our services are opened to parents and scheduled visitors of our school.
